About Memorial Hall School

A Place Where Children Can and Do Learn

Memorial Hall offers an established Day School Program. The school is a non-profit organization fully accredited by Texas Education Agency and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Council on Accreditation and School Improvement and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation. The school celebrates its 42nd Anniversary in the Fall of 2008.

Memorial Hall provides a quality educational facility where students with average or above average intellect can experience and acquire an excellent, meaningful education with dignity and pride. Memorial Hall stresses to provide a curriculum that meets the needs of the individual. Our staff has committed themselves throughout the years in assisting students to assume responsibility for their education and overall development.

In 1988 Memorial Hall was approved by the I.N.S. to issue the I-20, Certificate of Eligibility for foreign students. We have since worked with International students from over 30 countries. Most of our foreign students participate in our E.S.L. Program as well as the required academic courses.

Our primary goal is to recognize, develop and provide a program that allows our students the opportunity to acquire and master their organizational, conceptual and learning skills, while recognizing their self worth and the value of life itself.

The school focuses on the specific need of each child. Many intellectually bright children encounter and experience learning differences that hinder and keep them from progressing with ease and consistency in relation to their potential. Many of our students have found that the smaller teacher - student ratio provides them with greater opportunity for a more structured and personalized learning experience.

We feel it's extremely important in this particular day and age that students be made aware and accept the responsibilities of their actions as productive and creative members of our society. Literacy, Education and Sound Reasoning provide the tools for insuring the strength of our nation. The majority of the members of our student body seek to increase strong academic skills in preparation for college and university programs, while others receive an education that helps them find a productive place for themselves in a working world.

The climate and opportunities we, as parents and educators provide our children as they grow in their homes and schools, will not only have a critical bearing on their current adjustment and personal happiness, but will have even more effect throughout their adult lives.

For this reason we cannot emphasize enough the value of a sound home and educational environment. It is the philosophy of the school that each child assumes his or her role with integrity as a responsible person working in an educational program that will allow them to proceed successfully.

We are a family promoting a sense of pride, sensitivity, stability and sound development of intellectual abilities. We recognize our responsibility in providing every opportunity possible for a child's learning experience to be meaningful, successfully productive and pleasurable.

"Memorial Hall is committed to excellence in education and to ensuring that every child gets the individual attention he or she needs in order to move forward and succeed.

But even more than that, Memorial Hall has not only taught children to discipline their minds, but also how to let values influence their minds and... their lives." George Bush
